Achievement
It is important to note that majority of students attending/arriving at the school have missed out a significant amount of formal education. In some cases, this has been for considerable amount of time, resulting in significant gaps in their attainment, knowledge and skills. SVS as a matter of policy ensures that all our pupils will leave with qualification and a secure progression route.
Pupils that started late with us were entered for Functional Skills qualifications in English, Math and ICT.

2025 GCSE Results
We are delighted to share that all Year 11 and Year 12 pupils have achieved grades 1 level above their baseline, demonstrating measurable progress and celebrating the distance travelled, however marginal, as a significant success. This achievement reflects the resilience of our pupils and the unwavering commitment of our staff.
Our results from the 2024–25 academic year have laid a strong foundation for continued improvement. A total of 44 learners in Years 11 and 12 were assessed, with 31 entered for GCSE Mathematics, English, Double Science, and Citizenship. Of these, 12 sat their exams at SVS, while 19 returned to their respective feeder schools to their exams. The remaining 13 learners were entered for Functional Skills qualifications. Pupils that started December onwards with us were entered for Functional Skills qualifications in English, Math and ICT.
100% passed and attained FS qualifications one grade higher than their baseline.
Despite considerable barriers posed by individual needs and circumstances, every pupil was able to sit their GCSE examinations. This outcome was made possible through a combination of universal support, targeted interventions, and the dedication of our pastoral team.
